Tempo of John Arpin "St. Louis Blues"
By Bob Taylor

I am doing a series of YouTube videos of Ampico rolls that I call
"Blues, Rags, and Hot Piano Styles". The series may have as many of
20 videos. One of the rolls will be John Arpin's rendition of the
"St. Louis Blues".

Originally, the roll was in 88-note format offered by Rob DeLand on
his BluesTone label. We collaborated and I added Ampico coding to
that roll by listening to Arpin's audio recording of that piece.
I want to post that Ampico coded roll in my series of "Blues, Rags,
and Hot Piano Styles". The problem is that I don't own the final
product and I am not certain what Tempo is marked on the roll.

I can't find the original working mark-up coding of that roll. I do
have a proof copy with coding to which final changes were made and it
is playable. But it has no Tempo marking.

When I do post a YouTube of this roll, I would like to record the roll
at the marked Tempo so that it will not be in conflict with the rolls
in the hands of collectors. Certainly some MMDers own this roll and
can inform me, in my embarrassed state, the marked Tempo on the
production roll.
