Relative to the Dodge Brothers posts recently, I will add to the
thread. In my loose roll collection (no boxes), I ran across a roll
titled DODGE BROTHERS MARCH, a POP roll with words, played by Channe
Ey Haines, Key - A - Flat. There is no roll number listed.
I don't know if this roll is a rare bird or a common pigeon. It may
belong in a Museum or it might deserve a top row spot along with my other
pigeons.
The roll has a nice lively introduction and then two identical verses.
From the hills of San Jose
San Jose
To the lights of gay Broadway
Gay Broadway
Sing a song of old Detroit for she's the flashing, dashing pioneer of motor glory
Born of thunder, steel and flame
Steel and flame
All the world now hails her name
Hails her name
Here's to Dodge and old Detroit
We pledge the glory of their fame.
The roll is very playable with some minor edge damage.
