Gulbransen serial number 261752 was made in late 1926. I guesstimate
it weighs 650 pounds or so. To reduce the smell try several scented
dryer sheets. I use them in moldy horn cases for the smell and they
worked well in a smoke-damaged piano.
Check the keys, hammers, dampers, _under_ the keys and around the
center pins for pee. If that is the case a little bleach or similar
product to kill off the pee, and if they peed on the pins they will
need to be polished our or replaced, plus re-bush the keys.
Also check the strings that they aren't covered with rust from pee,
and anywhere else possible. Once they start in an area, that is their
toilet. Unlike a cow that is "look out below", a mouse does have its
favorite spots.
Before doing any work, have the pin block checked for tight pins.
If they are loose, consider re-pinning and restringing if you want
good sound, esp. in the bass as the strings are probably pretty dead
(tubby). If the strings are clean and the bass sounds fairly good
you could use "Pin-Tite", with which I've had good success for years.
The piano must be laid on its back for absorption. I don't care for
the super-glues because of smell; I am just not a fan.
Good luck from Nebraska!
