Recently, in a box of 88-note piano rolls, I acquired an unusual piano
roll box with the roll missing. It is a light yellow box with the QRS
label on top and pictures of flying white geese on top, sides and ends,
with two small children and a guy wearing glasses and a pyramid shaped
hat riding atop these geese. The label end of the box contains the
following information:
QRS Autograph Word Roll, roll #313, price $1.00.
POOR COCK ROBIN,
Ensemble Song for Young and Old,
Arr. and Played by Lee S. Roberts
Having seen literally thousands of roll boxes, this is the first time
I have encountered such an unusual box. I would appreciate purchasing
this roll if anyone has it for sale to make the box complete. Also
would be interested in information about this type of QRS roll and box.
