Decap Robot Bands in the United Kingdom
By Jeremy Brice

To the best of my knowledge, only three genuine Decap Robot organs
have ever been on U.K. shores -- two 105-key ones and a 92-key. The
ex-Ashorne Hall organ, 'De Blauwe Engel', is now part of the Krughoff
collection in the U.S., and the ex-Turners one is the first organ in
the Krijnen collection described in Thijs Haenen's post (MMD 141113).
A web page describing both organs can be found at

  http://www.acpilmer.com/index.php?id=16,0,0,1,0,0

Sadly, the third robot organ, an early 92-key model (ex-Arthur Mason
and Eileen Barry) was destroyed in Ted Reed's fire at Amersham in
August 1991, although the original coin box (being in a different part
of the building) survived and I believe is now on the Krijnen organ.
A video of a very similar organ in the Kessler Collection (Zurich,
Switzerland - now dispersed???) can be found at
