Felt Colour in British Weber Duo-Art Pianola
By Jim Ridgewell

Hi -- I'm restoring a British built type 60 Aeolian Weber Duo-Art
upright Pianola, manufactured in 1923 at Hayes, Middlesex.

Does anyone know the correct colour and shade of felts to use for the
visible areas, such as around the key-slip controls, around the pedals,
along the key slap rail, etc., etc.? There is some light-ish, lime-ish
green felt interwoven into the lower end of the strings to prevent
resonances, but that is all I have found of any age.

The cabinetwork was a rich dark red Mahogany if that influences things
at all. Any help or photos would be very welcome!

Many thanks,
Jim Ridgewell
