Old Rolls Tearing On Rewind
By Bill Chapman

David Dewey's inquiry regarding damage on right edge of the roll upon
rewind is not uncommon. I experienced the loss of "The Juglaress"
52662F, unexpectedly. It played perfectly, but the rewind did not.

It turns out that the right roll chuck didn't hold up. The shaft made
of hard steel did not wear. Once the bearing was replaced it would
re-wind the rolls as it should.
