Hi Kevin, If the 8-inch floppy disks are in standard (IBM) format
they will still be readable providing they have not been ill treated
too badly. Until around 12 years ago I used these on a small
"multi-computer" which had both 8- and 5.25-inch floppy disk drives.
I don't know of anyone who can do this data recovery now on a
'friendly' basis, but there is a firm called Apex Technology who
can do this professionally. Visit http://www.disktransfer.co.uk/
for details. The service is not listed on their main Apex site
at http://apextechnology.co.uk/
It may be very expensive but they do say give us a ring and ask,
so it may be worth a try.
