What is very sad to see going on in our postings is that the only
thing that seems to be important is what some particular instrument
is worth. Back when, it was the technology behind the instrument
and the fascinating people who designed it that held sway, yet the
music was always the most important reason to collect.
If music today is reduced to nothing but rude tribal screeching
compared to Chopin, Verdi, Liszt, Gershwin, Porter, Kern, then
I am glad there is a readily available "Off" switch. Now it seems
the almighty buck is the sole commanding reason. What a pity.
