Registration on Marcel Dupre Duo-Art Organ Roll
By Bob Taylor
In my study of Duo-Art organ rolls, I have come upon a possible error
in roll 3363. This is Marcel Dupre's "Fugue in G minor", played by
the composer. Those of you who own that roll and are willing to help,
I would request that you study the initial stop settings for the lower
manual. I want to know the status of the "Trumpet". Is it on or off?
The perforation for Trumpet is #167.
If your roll is an earlier version with printed instructions, I also
would like to know if it includes the word "Trumpet" in the initial
stop settings for the lower manual. "Trumpet" would be in red ink.
Also, if you have a roll with printed instructions, what does it say
about the "Echo"?
I'll post your responses and make additional comments about this
wonderful roll.
