After reading Andrew Barrett's recording review, I decided to search
my punch files for the Pete Wendling roll he talks so glowingly about.
I have the original CIS optical scan of the roll and immediately
converted it into a punch file which I will produce, if not today
(Sunday) then certainly tomorrow.
Andrew should be writing advertising copy for a newspaper that sells
refrigerators to Eskimos! To use some of the puffery from the old
days, I'll probably have to turn the air conditioning in the roll
shop _way_ down to keep the plastiwax from melting on the paper as
the machine does its thing. The roll _is_ a corker!
Here is the deal for MMD readers. If you want a copy of Pete
Wendling's roll, QRS 2253, "The Natchez and the Robert E. Lee",
send a PayPal payment for USD 15.00 to the address from whence this
email emanates. Delete the ".geentroep" spam jammer at the end of
the address.
It costs me USD 3.40 to ship the roll via Media Mail to addresses in
the United States, so you folks will be getting a bargain, and this
roll will _not_ appear on a certain online auction site! Now, that
is for US customers.
In spite of my recent "rant" about shipping outside the US, I will just
make those folks in line behind me at the Post Office wait when I send
International shipments. I cannot send the roll for USD 15.00, but
send along USD 22.50 to me and if there is any difference in postage
I will refund it or "eat" the overage.
