Workshops at MBSI Annual Meeting, October 2014

The speakers for the MBSI Annual Meeting has been firmed up and there
are now 13 great mechanical music workshops (see descriptions below).

This year, there is no limit on number of attendees.  All are
invited to join MBSI in this annual extravaganza of collection visits,

electronic components and software design tools.

working on a wide variety of instruments.

 - "Dispersing Your Collection - What are Your Options" Workshop (Nancy
Fratti) The current market and the plusses and minuses of the ways of
dispersing your collection to the next generation of caretakers.

 - "One Tooth, Two Teeth, Three Teeth - More" Workshop (David and Carol
Beck) A comparison of sectional comb mechanisms to multi-comb cylinder
boxes such as sublime harmonies, piano fortes, and others.

 - "The SISAR Project" Workshop (Matteo Malosio & Flavio Pedrazzini)
Different technologies specifically developed to scan, archive and
record ancient musical pieces for different mechanical instruments,

 - "Making Beautiful Music on a Mills Violano - from an iPad" Workshop
(Dr. Wayne Finger) Restoration of a Mills Violano Virtuoso, addition of
