FS or Trade: Deluxe Welte Rolls in Tasmania
By John Phillips

Hello MMD readers. My mate, Jim, rebuilds players for Restored
Pianos in Hobart, which I believe is the only remaining player workshop
in Tasmania. He has come across two Deluxe Welte rolls: C1466, "Spring
Song", by Mendelssohn, played by Fannie Bloomfield-Zeisler, and B6855,
"Humoresque No. 7", in G-flat major, by Dvorak, played by Richard Singer.

Both rolls have slightly scruffy leaders (C1466's tag has been torn off
and reaffixed with Magic Tape), but are otherwise in excellent condition.
The boxes are in good condition. The rolls just performed flawlessly
on my Steck Half Duo-Art (with taped-up expression ports).

Is any MMD reader interested in swapping these two rolls for a couple
of Duo-Art rolls?  Jim and I are both rebuilding full Duo-Art uprights;
his is a Weber, mine is another Steck.

I suspect this notice will be of greater interest to Australian readers,
on account of the horrific postal costs between the U.S. and Australia.
However, I think Jim and I would be willing to pay for the shipping
from Oz to the U.S., if that makes the proposition more attractive.

John Phillips - in Hobart, Tasmania.
