Seek Tracker Bar Scale for 66-key B.A.B. Rolls
By John J. Breen

I am currently assisting a local restorer who is working on an organ
which plays 66-key B.A.B. rolls. We are looking for the tracker bar
scale for these rolls since this information does not appear in either
Art Reblitz's "Golden Age..." book or the MMD Archives.

The MMD Archives only appear to reference a modified scale that would
make organs compatible with Wurlitzer 165 rolls using a reiterating
snare drum beater. They do not reference the original scale. The
owner of the organ being restored wants to keep the two-track snare
drum mechanism to retain the characteristic sound it produces.

My role in this project is to optically scan the rolls that came
with the organ and to assist with the installation of the MIDI system.
I have completed the scanning operation and need to modify the files
to some MIDI map. Ideally, I would use an existing MIDI map to keep
the files compatible with other similar organs that have had MIDI
installed.

To date, I have come up empty handed for both the original tracker bar
scale for these rolls and information on other MIDI installs for them.
If you have information that would help in my quest I would greatly
appreciate receiving it. Also, if anyone has some B.A.B. 66-key rolls
that they would like to have scanned, I am currently set up to do them
at reasonable rates.
