Heating Small Batches of Hot Glue
By Don Teach

Tech tip of the month (I wrote this in 2011)

Hot hide glue has been the preferred glue for professional restorers
since it has many benefits. If you need the ease of bottled glue then
make up some hide glue in an old squeeze bottle. Place it in your glue
pot with water for easy use.

I keep plain water in my glue pot and use a small jar to make my glue.
The smaller jar in my glue pot can be cleaned and sealed after every
use. It is easy to remove the jar to place close to my work. It also
leaves room for a small squeeze bottle.
