FS: 1870s Spanish Barrel Piano in New York
By David O'Neil
For sale: An 1870s Spanish, hand crank barrel piano, in good working
condition (needs tuning), plays 10 tunes. Full size, mounted on a
bright red and gold painted handcart with springs. It was originally
used in England up to about 1990 then somehow made it to upstate
New York, USA.
It does have a battery powered mechanical monkey that was used in later
years after the original monkeys died off. There is quite a bit of
history/provenance attached to it, for those interested in its antique
historic value.
We would appreciate any input and ideas on its value, and how to sell
this to an appreciative home and maybe get it back to bringing smiles
to many "on the streets". Photos are available upon request.
