Hi all. I am limiting my mechanical music collection to my Duo-Art
Weber grand only and am therefore asking for offers for the following
instruments. They have all been in my possession for at least the last
18 years and have been kept in my house and used relatively frequently
except for the orchestrion which has not been fully restored.
1. Philips Pianella Model PC9 Orchestrion -- Equipped with xylophone
and mandolin rail in oak (pp. 568 Bowers' Encyclopedia). Fitted with
a 5-roll autochanger with remote, random access. No other example
known to be extant. In cosmetically good condition with no worm and
good, dry interior condition. Has never been in a damp environment
-- ex-Belgian café, museum in Germany and then my house. Original
200 VDC motor and all original electrics. In residential property
for last 20 years. 24 PMX rolls available.
2. 58-note Aeolian Orchestrelle, Model K -- 58-note pressure operated,
with 12 ranks of reeds. Working and in good cosmetic condition with
all carving in perfect, undamaged state. Dark oak. 300+ rolls
available in two purpose made oak roll cabinets. In heated residential
property for last 20 years. One rank has one cypher. Both rolls and
instruments are on ground floor with double patio-type door access.
Off road parking in front of doors for lorry/truck.
If interested, pictures can be posted on dropbox.
Cheers,
