> starting current: 25 amperes peak
> running current: 8.8 to 8.9 amperes
[The observed] starting current is quite high for a typical residential
system. It would be a good idea to start the two motors sequentially,
rather than simultaneously. A simple time delay relay in the starting
circuit would do the job, or a pressure switch on the pressure or
vacuum pump could start the second motor.

[ The typical Reproduco has a separate power switch for each motor,
[ mounted at the right side of the console, but Ray's is not typical.
[ Long ago the blower and vacuum pump were placed in a large housing
[ for remote installation at a mortuary, with a big DPST relay for
[ remote power control. Ray is installing an "industrial" power
[ circuit suitable for the application. (It's much the same as the
[ electric wiring at motels that powers the large air conditioning
[ unit inserted in the wall below the window.) -- Robbie
