Restoring a Cremona G at DeBence Museum
By Scotty Greene

We are now into the job of this restoration and I am beginning to
find out I know even less than I thought I did about what is needed.
The piano stack is unlike any photos I have found of others. It has
a bunch of unused outlets (they have knotted tubing attached to plug
them off, implying they do something), eighteen on the left end and
five on the right end.

There is a knob and dial on the left front of the case that is
labeled "Modulant", with a shaft on the inside hooked to nothing.
There is a knob and dial on the left end of the case labeled "Muffler"
with an eccentric on the inside of the case which engages nothing.
