Isaac Flagler Pieces on Aeolian Pipe Organ Rolls
By Michael Johnston
Hello again! I thought I'd ask if any of the three Aeolian Pipe
Organ rolls by I. V. Flagler exist and could be recorded. John Apple
is giving a lecture on Flagler and his music at this year's Organ
Historical Society Convention in Flagler's old stomping grounds; it
would be nice to be able to share some of his music via roll played
on an organ of the style with which he was familiar. These rolls
would have been made from around 1911 to 1919, the date of this book:

On page 121 starts the Flagler entries. If anyone associated with MMD
has access to the boxes of the rolls, it might identify the organist
who recorded the rolls.
David Rumsey did an incredible job of restoring and recording Clarence
Eddy's Welte Philharmonic organ roll of his "Festival Prelude and Fugue
on Old Hundred" for me, but these [Flagler] rolls were made by The
Aeolian Company, and this was a different system.
