Seek Aeolian 2-tier Pneumatic Stack
By John Rutoskey
I recently acquired a very nice upright Gotha Steck piano fitted
with an Aeolian Metrostyle-Themodist player having a 65-note stack,
but it has a 65/88-note combination spoolbox. I'd like to remove
the 65-note stack and find an 88-note stack that fits this piano.
As anyone familiar with these petite-sized pianos knows, the stack
can only be about 5 inches total height to fit under the wippens.
I'm also in need of some parts from any regular Aeolian stack from
the early 1910-1920 era, namely the Tempo/Metrostyle indicator and
pointer, and all of the associated rods and linkages for it that run
to the left side of the case. Thanks in advance for any help or leads.
