Seek Parts for A. B. Chase "Artistano" Player
By Dan Sitzmann

Hello, I am looking for anyone who can give me some information,
pictures, measurements or even sell me parts for my A. B. Chase
player piano. My wife picked up this piano last year and it plays
great. Along with the piano we got a player action, which was
a separate delivery, which goes under the keyboard. The spool box
sits in front of the keys and then folds underneath when not in use.
A very cool player and also one I have found to be extremely rare.

The player was in really bad condition as the spool box frame was
broken and needed to be welded back together, the motor bellows and
all note striker bellows were bad, the valves were also no longer
holding vacuum. I have rebuilt all parts, minus the primary valves,
and to my surprise last weekend, we were able to play a couple rolls
and enjoy the labor I have put into this!

I thought the primary valves were okay, but I needed to pedal way
to fast to keep it going due to leaks on the primary side. Parts
are on order and this should be done in a few weeks.

The part I am needing help with is the transmission/gearbox. I am
missing either two gears or pulleys of some kind to keep the drive
chain tight. If anyone out there has any idea of what I need,
measurements, pictures or is able to sell me the parts, I would be
very excited. The cover over the transmission is gone, but I think
I can make one of these if I am unable to find a replacement to buy.

Thanks for looking at this and I hope to have this player running soon.
I can post more pictures if anyone is interested in seeing the stack
or tracker bar. This is a very interesting player.
