Passing of Ray Brubacher
By Ann Donoghue

Many may know the name Ray Brubacher -- organist of excellence, on
the classic organ and especially on the Wurlitzer theater organ.
Besides being an incredible musician, he also enjoyed owning fine
mechanical instruments: Knabes Model A and Model B Ampicos, a
Steinway Duo-Art, a Mason and Hamlin pump organ and a harpsichord;
he truly enjoyed making and listening to music!

He died February 27th, 2014, at age 73.  On April 6th, at 3 p.m., a
celebration of his life and art will be held at the Weinberg Center
for the Arts in Frederick, Maryland. He was a regular performer
on the mighty Wurlitzer in this theater. I know I will miss Ray's
fine performances and crazy sense of humor!
