Instrument Moving Advice
By John Crandall

Whenever possible all removable parts should be disassembled and
wrapped separately, especially when moving overseas. A ships
vibrations can wreak havoc on any parts that are not firmly attached,
and can even loosen those that are. To a lesser extent, this can
happen on land moving as well, viz. bumpy roads, speed bumps, etc.
