Preserving the Music of Music Rolls
By John Del Carlo

How much time do we have left for our original rolls? As I play my
original piano rolls, I am worried as to how much longer they will be
playable. It's great that there are numerous folks out there doing
high quality re-cuts. I have favorite rolls, as I am sure we all do,
and hopefully in the future we can have those favorites re-cut before
the originals disintegrate. What are the suggestions as to the best
way to preserve these original rolls?
