How to Interest People in Mechanical Music
By Richard Price

We often lament the small number of younger people who get interested
in mechanical music. So, how to remedy this? I use one small method
to 'spread the word.' Whenever I visit the office of a health provider,
accountant, etc., I take along several old copies of the publications
of our various societies -- e.g., The AMICA Bulletin -- and leave them
among the other magazine offerings in the waiting rooms.

I have no evidence that this has any effect, but it has to raise
awareness to some degree. (And it decreases the pressure on my storage
space.)
