Yamaha Disklavier Lost Music Files
By Herb Lindahl
Greetings, I am trying to help a client here in Connecticut with
a Yamaha Disklavier grand piano. The piano is approximately ten
years old. He uses it a lot to make recordings of his own playing.
His daughter was using it to record a song and, during that process,
she accidentally shut the unit off during the writing to disk process.
My client now cannot access any of the recordings he had stored on
the disk!
I am asking any of you Yamaha owners for advice to see if there is
a process by which he can retrieve his recordings. Yamaha tech
support was not sure of what to do with this particular problem.
Thank you very much.

[ I think the Disklavier file system resembles the Microsoft FAT16
[ system, so maybe a program to recover "erased" files would work.
