As noted in an earlier MMD posting [130922 MMDigest], Harry Garrison
passed away Thursday, September 19, 2013 at the age of 77. The
impression left in that MMD posting was that Harry's funeral was last
weekend. That was incorrect, his funeral is this weekend per Harry's
son, Marshall Garrison:
Friday: Masonic Funeral Service will be held on Friday Evening,
September 27, 2013, at 7 PM at the Westwood United Methodist Church
at 3460 Epworth Rd., Cincinnati, Ohio. Visitation will be from 6 PM
until 8 PM Saturday Visitation Saturday September 28, 2013 from 10:00
AM until 11:00 AM at the Westwood United Methodist Church, Cincinnati,
Ohio, where funeral services will be held Saturday at 11:00 AM.
Memorials may be directed to the Westwood United Methodist Church
in Cincinnati, Ohio, or the American Diabetes Association.
Members of AMICA may remember Harry most recently at the Cincinnati
AMICA Annual convention in July, 2009. Harry donated use of many of
the instruments on display, including the impeccably restored pumper
player piano that was used in the "golden footsie" pumper contest.
Harry has been very supportive over the years of the AMICA Midwest
chapter. I personally enjoyed getting to know Harry much better at
the time of the Cincinnati convention. After working with him at the
convention, he insisted on treating me to a very fancy steak dinner.
