Dear friends of Mechanical Music, next September 28th, Villa
Silvia-Carducci park will host the 1st Italian Mechanical Music Day
and 58th Mechanical Music Fair. The fair is open from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
During the day entry to Musicalia Museum is free of charge. The Museum
participates as part of European Heritage Days, 2013. At 11 a.m., in
the Museum North Room, AMMI presents the restoration of a very unique
mechanical instrument, dated 1815, with an unusual mechanism.
In the evening, at 9 p.m., in commemoration of the bicentenary of the
birth of Giuseppe Verdi, the Corps bands of Biassono directed by
Maestro Graziano Sanvito, with the lead vocals of Maria Bellavia and
Carlo Marchesini, will perform in an unusual concert, entitled "Verdi,
the Band and the Mechanical Music." For the first time, Verdi's "Waltz
in F" will be played by the orchestra and street organ, transcribed and
arranged by organ-grinder Marco Gianotto and Maestro Sanvito.
Dinner at the Museum Restaurant is available on request from
