Seek QRS 1357 "Midnight Fire Alarm"
By Rick Hageman

Hi, I'll try to keep this short. As I was growing up in the 1950s,
my grandmother tirelessly played a song on her piano for me. She
called it the "Firehouse Song" and it was my favorite. She passed
in 1975 at 81 years and with it went her song.

Recently, while doing family history, I was reminded of this song and
decided to research it, not knowing anything other than how I recalled
her playing it -- not very much to go on. What I initially found was
a song called "The Burning of Rome", but it just didn't sound the same.
I thought she may have modified it to her own playing tastes.

However, I recently found what I was looking for: it's "The Midnight
Fire Alarm" and it's exactly how I remember it. QRS used to make it
(not certain if it is still available) and it was QRS 1357.

Does anyone have a playable roll they would part with or direct me to?
You can post here or contact me at my email address below. Remember to
eliminate the "geentroep" in my address if you decide to email me.
Thanks in advance.
