Case Finish on 1919 Steck Upright Duo-Art
By John Phillips

Hello, MMD. I very recently acquired a 1919 upright Steck player,
with a full Duo-Art action and a steamboat pump. The case is in very
good condition, except for a scrape on the keyslip (if that's the
correct name for the cover over the various manual controls).

My question is, what was the finish used on the case? I suspect that
it was not French polish.
