Seek New Hammers for Mills Violano Piano
By Steve Grattan

Hi all, I have a Mills Violano piano action I am restoring for
a customer. The catcher and hammer butt leather is all but gone,
but it still plays. The customer has adjusted the hammers to
about a 1-inch blow distance because the hammers are so hard and
loud they are totally obscuring the violin. They are original
and have been played a lot.

The question is, what kind of hammers do you recommend that will
be like the originals when they were new? Thanks for your advice.
