I'm curious how common roll label errors are. I have a "new" roll,
Play-Rite G-101. It's an excellent roll, but song No. 8 is labeled
"Night and Day" when it is actually "Makin' Whoopee". If I didn't
know both songs, I'd have never noticed the error. So, since most of
my 10 rolls have songs I don't already know, I'm wondering how many
of them have labeling errors!
I'm also curious what others do when they find such errors. I'd like
to correct the label somehow: Pencil? Pen? Post-it? In addition
to marking it for whomever inherits the roll someday, I'm sure I won't
remember the error when I'm looking at rolls to put this one on again
later!
A search of the MMD Archives gave one discussion on mislabeled
recuts, but nothing more than that. I'm hoping the experts here can
give me some idea how common this really is.
