I was the one who recently bought a Howard nickelodeon and was looking
for gears for the roll-frame. Thanks to this service and some very
good folks I learned quite a bit and I was able to purchase a PPCo
unit which will work well. That nickelodeon is about halfway through
restoration and the addition of stained glass panels, lights, etc.
I am pretty excited over a purchase made yesterday: a Tangley CA-43
Calliaphone in good working condition, complete with six more "A"
rolls. (I looked at the gears first, and they are _brass!_) By the
look of the fabrics and tubing, it had obviously been rebuilt, and
it looks to be a very good job.
The "number" on the plate (which I assume is a serial number) is 1310.
Does anyone have data on the date of manufacture?
Everything works, it is in tune and it sounds quite good. The only
problem so far is that the garage door opener remote doesn't work,
but I can either repair or replace that easily. It's going to be
a fun unit!
