I recently found out the dates for the 2014 Annual Meeting of Musical
Box Society International (MBSI) -- reserve October 7 through 12 on a
2014 calendar right now.  This is well over a year from now, but some
of us plan way ahead !

This meeting has numerous collection visits so you will see and hear
wonderful cylinder and disc music boxes and also large fairground
organs, nickelodeons, orchestrions and all sorts of cool mechanical
music instruments.  Plus it has educational workshops, special
exhibits, knowledgeable speakers and a really good mart.  The people
I have met at these meetings have made the difference in getting the
knowledge, replacement parts, advice and music to enjoy this hobby
every day.

This 2014 MBSI Annual Meeting will have full days of events starting
on Tuesday, October 7, 2014 with the optional tours.  Activities will
continue through the evening banquet on Saturday October 11, 2014.
It will be held in Weston, Florida, near Ft. Lauderdale.  On Sunday
October 12 there will be more open houses, so don't plan to return home
too early.

This year's 2013 meeting is also going to be outstanding.

The 2014 meeting is hosted by the Southeast Chapter of the MBSI, which
invites all lovers of mechanical music to join with us for sun, fun
and fellowship.  It's a "Wonderful World of Mechanical Music."
