This weekend, 27-28 April 2013, is the start of the COAA (Carousel
Organ Association of America) rally season. We are heading to Holland,
Michigan, where our hosts will be Nelis' Dutch Village, and hopefully
the tulips will be in bloom.
There are 19 organs on the pre-registration list, 12 crank organs and
7 larger ones. Since this is being held in Dutch Village, Hen & Irene
Noordermeer's NBI Dutch street organ and Norman and Tana Otto's Perlee
25-key organ should be considered the featured machines.
Two organs are visiting from Canada. At least eight of the organs were
built in the USA. "Home-built" organs on the list include two Wurlitzer
105 replicas, two John Smith 20-note organs and a Castlewood.
Sunday morning there will be a "COAA Arrangers' Seminar" with the
Wurlitzer scales as the planned topic for discussion. Further details
are available via a link on http://www.coaa.us/
