Regarding Don Barton's request for electrification kits, I have been
selling the Bergytone BT-002 kit for more than two years and have
shipped them around the world. Don actually bought one a while ago but
lost my contact info. I'll be shipping him a couple more shortly.
Demand has never been higher, and the feedback has been great. I plan
on finishing the fully-electronic controller with solenoid rewind, plus
offering a pneumatic auto-rewind system later in the year.
I would love to hear people's ideas for making both the auto rewind and
the auto shut-off systems better and easier to install. My experience
has shown that sometimes the bulky auto-rewind pneumatic is hard to fit
in place; so I'm thinking of separating the valve block from the
actuator pneumatic. The valve block would sit on top of the pump; so
no main vacuum feed hose would be required. This would keep the area
needed for the actuator down to a minimum.
The old slap-switch auto shut off is simple, but can be unreliable.
I've seen some pneumatically run auto shut-offs, but nothing seems to
stand out as clever and simple. If anyone has any ideas on making that
device better, please put forth those ideas. If you want, you can
email me directly with them.
