The Cecilian was a push-up piano player from before the days of roll
standardisation. We have around 50 rolls for it, but only the roll box
for the machine. Why they used variable hole spacing I have no idea!
They were often in quite ornate cases with carved corners, etc.
I don't know who arranged their music, probably someone in-house, but
they produced a lot of varied music: marches, rags, cakewalks, et
cetera, as well as a lot of classical music. I would really like to
acquire a restorable machine one day!
