I have just received a "Music Book with Audio CD" from the Technik
Museum, Sinsheim/Speyer, Germany.
This double-book is a must-have for all fans of musical organs and
instruments. It contains 300 pictures on 192 pages, showing the most
beautiful organs on exhibit at the Auto & Technik Museum Sinsheim and
the Technik Museum Speyer. The book, in German and English, contains
an audio CD with musical examples of the organs. Superbly produced, it
sells for EUR 14,90, and the CD contains thirty-five tracks of popular
and classical music, played on a selection of the best instruments in
the two collections.
I visited the Speyer museum some years ago and heard some of these
marvelous instruments, and I would recommend anyone visiting Germany to
visit, if you have the chance. Your appetite will certainly be whetted
by this book. But I suspect that postage from Germany will be
expensive as it weighs 3 lbs. (1.6 kg)
