On February 8-10,2013, there will be a unique opportunity to see and
hear Seeburg coin pianos (L and A), disc music boxes (Reginaphone,
Mira, etc.), reproducing pianos (Welte and Ampico), organettes, player
reed organs, and antique juke boxes. The Southeast Chapter of the
Musical Box Society International is holding its winter meeting and
hopes all lovers of mechanical music in the Southeast this winter will
be able to attend. The weekend will also include a mart to buy and sell
parts and instruments.
Because the weekend includes visits to private collections in members'
homes, the society requires all registrants to be either members of
MBSI or the guest of a member. If you know someone in the MBSI
Southeast Chapter, ask him to register you as his guest. If you don't
yet know anyone in the MBSI, please go the Southeast Chapter website
( http://www.mbsise.org ) and click on the "join MBSI" tab. You can join
on line today.
Afterwards, email info@mbsise.org.geentroep (deleting .geentroep) to
request that a registration packet be emailed to you. During an MBSI
meeting weekend, you always meet several fine people who share your
love of mechanical music and you return home with new sources of
information, encouragement, and repair parts.
