Hello, It is hard to believe but two years have passed since the
terrible fire that caused serious damage to the only museum of
mechanical music in Israel. The owner of the Nisco museum is Nisan
Cohen and, at just 86 years young, he is working day and night, single
handed, to keep the museum going.
He is giving tours daily through the rows of blackened and burnt
instruments. Some instruments are still doing their very best to give
a performance for their very gentle owner, who simply won't let them
die. To date no funds have been received from the government; no one
knows how long Nisan can continue.
If you have anything in the way of instruments or money to contribute
to this courageous man, then please feel free to contact him at
Nisan Cohen: woundup_2000@yahoo.com.geentroep [delete geentroep to use]
I am also able to accept any contributions (PayPal, etc.) and to help
with the pickup and shipping of instruments to Israel, etc. Please
take a moment to visit my web site to see more on the Nisco Museum

Also take a moment to view the presentation of the "Museum Fire
Memories", presented by Marie-Odile Albrecht who photographed the
museum and the surrounding area to create a powerful and artistic
reminder of that fateful week of fire. It truly is a poem to from
Marie-Odile to Nisan Cohen at this time of Hanukkah.
To find quickly, just click on the "New" logo on the home page to see
the link for the "Nisco Museum Of Mechanical Music Israel." Turn up
your volume.
Thank you,
