I received a call from Dr. Floyd Moreland and he reports the
carousel and the Wurlitzer 146 band organ located in the Casino
building by the pier have survived the storm.  Apparently the
water passed under the building and not inside.  The carousel and
organ are in the same position in the building as before the storm.
The organ is intact and complete by outward appearance.

Dr. Moreland was unable to inspect the inside of the organ as the
security people think the floor under the center section of the
carousel may be too unstable to walk on it.  Previous reports of
the loss of a carousel are likely referring to the one located on
the Funtown Amusement Pier [in Seaside Park] which is south of the
Casino Beach Pier.
