Music Rolls With The Seals Intact
By Ed Chaban

I had a bit of luck yesterday at a local resale shop, Value Village,
in Redmond, Washington. I saw a bunch of Ampico and Duo-Art rolls
and some of the Duo-Arts apparently were AMR recuts with the seals
on the rolls unbroken!

All the rolls were titles that I don't currently have in my collection
so I snapped them up. They were $14.99 each so the price was not bad.
Had I waited 'til Black Friday, they would have been half price, but
my emotions got the better of me.

Now I'm left with the question, do I play them? As a collector, part
of me wants to keep them in their original state, but since they're
recuts, I wonder if their value would be seriously affected. To me,
the hobby is more about the joy of the music than investment.

The Ampico rolls are still there, by the way. I don't know if any were
still sealed.
