In response to Kjell Landaeus's request for a roll repair table
[121115 MMDigest], I plan to make my own by using parts from an
old salvaged upright player spool box, by separating the box into
two parts and putting a long board in between that is suitable for
cutting, taping, etc. That way I can hold the roll and spool it back
and forth with a long section of the roll spread out on the board
for repair.
Of course I have planned to do this project for about five years and
have yet to do it, so buying a completed repair table may be the way
to go! At least I have lots of rolls with little sticky notes
identifying where on the roll the repair is needed.
