I am producing a CD of my Wilhelm Bruder Söhne (WBS) Model 77
"Starkton" fair organ. I would like to include in the CD a booklet
with some text about the firm in addition to text about the organ.
As they say, "a picture is worth a thousand words." I know the
factory building has been demolished and no longer exists, but I wonder
if anyone has or has access to a photograph of the works, say, in the
1920s or 1930s, i.e., when the factory was still in trading. I have
never seen a photograph, just line drawings, but I suggest they used
a photograph to draw that.
What I would like is a photograph of the outside and what would be
amazing would be a photograph of the inside.
I have always thought that too many CDs have just a tune list and a
cover photo and nothing about the organ. After saying that, the CDs
produced by Paul Fleck (Stephan Fleck) of Waldkirch have excellent
booklets.
My CD will concentrate on the arrangers working in Waldkirch at the
time the organ was sold and used commercially. This will include music
arranged by Eugen Bruder, WBS factory arrangers, Carl Frei (Snr.) and
of course the great Gustav Bruder.
Any help would be appreciated and all help, i.e., photos would be fully
credited.
