Joyce Brite wrote of the situation where libraries dispose of books
that they deem outdated [121009 MMDigest]. Occasionally such books are
purchased by [used book] outlets such as AbeBooks. On a local level,
if each of us would contact our libraries to inquire of their dispersal
policy, then stay in touch with them, we may be able to rescue such
precious books.
On a related matter, Bill Edgerton, in Connecticut, USA, is diligently
amassing any and all books for a master library of publications related
to mechanical music. It's up to each of us...
