I am putting John Farrell's roll collection up for sale, starting with
his Hot Piano Classics and JAM groups.  Each series is about 260
titles, and each is missing around 10% of the titles.  I have the files
for all the titles and can make the missing ones on my perforator.  I
have inspected a few of the rolls and found them to be in good
condition.  But I do not plan to check each one.  The boxes and labels
are generally in good condition, showing some normal wear.

I also have a large collection of both series and would be willing to
sell the missing titles if I have them.  The proceeds of the sales go
to John's widow, Mary Farrell.

In my opinion John was one of the best piano roll arrangers that ever
lived, besides being one of my closest friends.  He arranged most of
the titles in the two series, with a few arranged by Robbie Rhodes and
Frank Himpsl.  He was a fine pianist and also arranged music for Big
Bands, and it shows in the musicality of his arrangements.  His ability
to listen to music and capture the essence of an artist's performance
was absolutely amazing.

These collections will be offered as lots on eBay in the near future.

auction please do so soon.  Contact me for details about the
collections and I will be glad to provide a list of titles.  Please,
serious inquiries only.  They will not go cheap.
