Plastic Key Bushings for Player Pianos
By Clinton Gray

In the course of working on my 1923 Warfield player piano, I have run
into a dilemma. My piano technician, who is supervising the rebuild of
the piano part, suggested we use plastic key bushings as a temporary
band-aid.

After I ordered a set from Schaff and tried to insert them, they either
do not fit, or when we are able to squeeze them into the key, they bind
on the front rail from being too tight.

Has anyone used these before, and if so, would it just be better to
abandon them now, or use them?

Any words of advice would be helpful.
