I have not written to this group; however I have been following it.
I inherited a Gavioli reed organ from my mother-in-law over a year ago.
I found MMDer Craig Smith, and he has been a great help, mentoring me
though the restoration process. He was extremely helpful and made sure
that I did not do anything dumb.
I was able to accomplish a lot, but Craig did the machining of the
barrel gear. When I started sending pictures to him, I soon found out
that the gear was missing.
Just a very big thanks to a great guy and mentor, Craig Smith.

[ Craig is my friend and neighbor here in the Rochester, N.Y., area,
[ and I too can testify to his craftsmanship, expertise, and
[ willingness to share his knowledge. Craig also does beautiful
[ veneer work and marquetry.
