Reed Brass Specifications Needed
By Doug Nixon

I am currently building a set of trumpet pipes (Wurlitzer 105 style)
and need to know the hardness specs (Rockwell) for the reed brass. The
gauges required are from .012 to .016. I assume the material should be
full hard or spring hard but cannot find any data on the temper or
Rockwell. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Doug Nixon

[ The late Doyle Lane had all kinds of brass freins, reeds, etc.,
[ that came with his purchase of the T.R.T. inventory left after
[ Ralph Tussing, T.R.T.'s owner, died. Dana Johnson reports in the
[ 120122 MMD that someone has purchased the Lane inventory, but he
  [ doesn't say who.
